Welcome to my blog.  Hi, I'm Frances White, author of  'Death by Vaudeville - A Journey Back From the End of the World', an inspiring story of redemption. 

First of all, I am a Senior Chaplain of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, who happens to have a passion for genealogy, as well as writing inspirational lessons from the Bible.  Istarted this blog to share some of those stories with others. 

My story 'Death by Vaudeville' is a true life story. Actaully, this a fantastic story of redemption., that developed after 40+ years of delving into my grandmother's family secrets. I was able to uncover the truth about those stories she shared with me, especially those about her brother, Robert LV Smith. What makes this an interesting story is, when I was ten years old, she said he went to prison for murder. 

For a decade, I dedicated my research to Robert's story to learn what had happened to him. Over those years, I accumulated enough records and data about his life to know the truth., and how he ended up in Folsom on a life sentence. When I started writing his story for posterity, it turned into a novel with a message for those who had committed the unthinkable. A message that could give hope where there is no hope. 

Now, you can know his story and what happened to put Robert Lawrence Victor Smith, aka Zane Southern, a young chauffeur to the rich and famous, into prison. You can read about his experince with Vaudeville, in the center of Los Angeles, California in 1924.  A story of Love  that turned tragically, to one of betrayal and murder.
